Community Arts Advocates has a data
base of over 3,000 artists, from choirs to storytellers,
puppeteers to drummers, and dancers to jugglers, potters
to painters. Executive Director, Stephen Baird published
the Folk Directory, a comprehensive cultural resource
guide for ten years. He also developed grants to conduct
community folk life studies to recognize and document new
immigrant artists in Massachusetts.
Community Arts Advocates can be an
effective and ethical multicultural resource connection
from Polish to Vietnamese, Russian to Scottish, Sudanese
to Latino artists for schools, museums, community arts
centers, festivals, summer park concert series and
events.
